Bareera Rauf

Bareera is a participatory facilitator, researcher and futures practitioner from Pakistan working at the intersection of youth participation, hope, peacebuilding and futures. She founded HopeWorks, a youth-led initiative exploring hope, care and collective imagination as practices for social change. As NGFP’s South Asia Hub Focal Point, she connects practitioners, researchers, artists and changemakers across the region, creating spaces for exchange, collaboration and collective learning while bringing diverse South Asian perspectives into wider conversations on futures. Murshid Alam

Bangladesh | Youth Leader & Peacebulding Advocate

Murshid is a Rohingya youth leader, peacebuilding advocate and futures practitioner based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. He is the Founder and Executive Director of the Rohingya Youth Union, a youth-led organisation mobilising young people across the refugee camps, and leads Roots of Arakan, an initiative focused on oral histories and reconciliation between Rohingya and Rakhine communities. As an NGFP Fellow (2025–2026) and South Asia Hub Focal Point, he uses foresight and community-led approaches to advance peace, justice and dignity for stateless and displaced communities. Kushal Sohal

India, United Kingdom | Futures Literacy Designer & Project Lead

Kushal is a Futures Literacy Designer and Project Lead in SOIF’s Advisory and Services Practice. His work focuses on participatory futures, social justice and futures literacy, including projects on childhood sexual violence, democracy and futures training. Before joining SOIF, he worked with UNESCO’s Futures Literacy and Foresight team, delivering projects with UN agencies and government ministries. An NGFP Fellow (2021), he also works independently with community groups and universities to build futures literacy capabilities. Connect with Kushal.
