Celebrating the NGFP Young Voices Awards

Together with our partners at Teach the Future, we’re delighted to celebrate the young changemakers recognised in this year’s NGFP Young Voices Awards. Open to young people aged 12–17, the awards received 1,209 expressions of interest and 300 completed submissions, with projects exploring new possibilities for their communities and our planet.

From AI-driven plastic tracking and electricity-free water filters to neuroinclusive support and urban food security, their ideas bring futures thinking to some of today’s most pressing challenges. Across Kazakhstan, India, Greece and beyond, these young people are combining creativity, knowledge and local experience to help shape what comes next.

Young Voices in the MENA region

Now in its second year, the NGFP Young Voices Awards – MENA, supported by the Dubai Future Foundation, recognises 10 outstanding projects. This year, 133 young people from the region applied, with 32 reaching the final round.

The recognised projects include work by young people across Egypt, the UAE and Palestine, addressing climate, healthcare and resource challenges—from tracking local microclimates and developing offline eldercare monitors to exploring more sustainable farming and affordable nutrition.

Supporting their next steps

All Young Voices are invited to join the Young Voices Network, powered by Teach the Future, for mentorship, resources and connections to help develop their ideas and strengthen their impact.

For the Global Awards, the top winner receives US$1,000, and three runners-up receive US$500 each. Six further finalists receive honourable mentions, alongside an additional 17 projects recognised for their work on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The MENA Region Special Recognition celebrates one top winner, three runners-up and six further recognised projects.
